1945
8th March - Born in Bombay to parents Doreen and Roland Clarke-Hill.
1954
- Gordon starts attending St Joseph's College, a boarding school in Nainital, Northern India run by the Irish Chrstian Brothers.
1961
- Brought to England to start a 3 year apprenticeship at Ruston and Hornsby, a world famous engineering firm based in Lincoln. Whilst completing this apprenticeship he also studied at night school to gain his A-levels.
1962
3rd June - Gordon meets Ruth Sanderson at a dance, they would remain together for many years. On the way home from the dance they witnessed a train crash.For his help in the rescue effort Gordon was presented with a new suit by British Rail.
1965
- Attended Nottingham College of Technology where he read Economics and became head of the student union.
1969
After leaving University Gordon worked in the Theatre as an electrician and assistant stage manager in both the Lincoln Theatre Royal and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
1971
- Gordon entered the HiFi business working at Eddie's HiFi where he opened shops all over the midlands and became very well known in the industry. He went on to work for a number of other HiFi companies in a career that spanned four decades.
1973
- Ruth and Gordon move to Nottingham.
1980
- His son Mathew is born in Nottingham
1991
- Met Alison at a concert in the Wigmore Hall. Later that year he moved in with Alison in Queens Park, London.
2001
- started writing technical manuals, a career in which he would continue for the rest of his working life.
2007
- Gordon and Alison buy the old foresters house in Kleinsoelk. Over the following years Gordon immersed and embedded himself in this tight knit community becoming an integral figure in the village, much loved by all.
2016
Feb 15th - Lucy Ruth Sanderson, the apple of his eye, is born to Mathew and Sarah.
